Let’s Thrive in 2021

The pandemic completely disrupted our lives in 2020. We all had to learn how to adjust and many struggled during 2020.  As we begin a new year, let’s take the lessons we learned in 2020 and make 2021 a year for positive growth and change. Here are some ways to kick off a new year!

Routine:

The pandemic upended many of our routines as some began working from home and teaching children from home. Families across the nation had to create new systems to adjust to spending more time at home. We know we still have several months before we return back to normal, and creating a routine can help reduce stress and help families thrive during this time. Setting bedtimes, lunch and dinner times, homework schedules, workout routines, and downtime can help every member in a family do their best during this unsure time.

Reduce Screen time:

Screen time increased for all families. Too much screen time can increase anxiety and also impact our sleep. Create limits on how much time everyone spends staring at a screen. Try to turn phones off before bedtime and stop using the phone one hour before bed. Set a goal to reduce 1-2 of screen time a day and find a hobby, read, or exercise during this time.
