Care Provider Safety Tips

  • Care On the Way prioritizes privacy and security. All personal information is securely stored on our protected servers. We do not sell, share, or disclose any personally identifiable information to third-party vendors.

  • Safety is our top priority. All care providers must pass a background check through Sterling before they can connect with families. This check includes:

    • Social Security Number (SSN) Trace
    • County Criminal Search
    • 7-Year Address History
    • Enhanced Nationwide Search
    • DOJ Sex Offender Registry Check
    • Real-time workforce monitoring

  • Care On the Way and Sterling require the following:

    • Legal name
    • Permanent address
    • Date of birth
    • Social Security Number (SSN)

Care On the Way does not store or share your SSN beyond what is required for the background check.

  • You will receive an email notification from Care On the Way or Sterling once your background check is cleared. A verified icon will also appear on your profile.

  • We expect all care providers to uphold professionalism, accountability, and respect toward families.

    • Accountability: Care providers should honor their commitments. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may impact trust with families.
    • Professionalism: Families rely on dependable, compassionate care providers. Treat all clients with respect and professionalism.
    • Safety & Conduct: Caregivers who violate platform policies, fail to meet account requirements, or engage in misconduct may have their accounts suspended or removed.
  • We strongly encourage conducting the first meeting in a public place, such as a coffee shop, mall, or park. Virtual meetings (e.g., video calls) are also a good alternative.

🚨 Care On the Way does not arrange interviews and is not liable for any interactions between users, whether in-person or virtual.

  • Care On the Way provides a secure in-app messaging system so users can communicate directly without sharing personal contact information.
