Care Provider Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Care Provider Cancellation Policy
Once a booking request has been accepted, care providers may cancel up to 48 hours in advance with no penalties.
- Within 48 hours: $5 penalty. Transaction/admin fees also apply.
- Within 24 hours: $10 penalty. Transaction/admin fees also apply.
- Frequent cancellations may impact how families perceive reliability, which could affect future interest from families.
If a booking is accepted within 24 hours of the start time and must be canceled, contact support for assistance.
- Booking Modifications Policy
Families can request changes to a booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
What to expect:
- You’ll receive a notification when a family submits a modification
- Requests may include changes to the start/end time or added hours
- You’ll be asked to review and approve the update before it takes effect
💡 Note: Care providers cannot edit a booking directly, but you can approve or decline any requested changes.
Within 48 hours of the start time:
- Modifications are not allowed
- Families will need to cancel and rebook
- Cancellation policies may apply
- Subscription Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
Access to Care On the Way benefits will continue until the end of your billing cycle.
Refunds are not provided for unused portions of a subscription.How to cancel:
- Go to the Subscriptions tab in the menu
- Click the Cancel button
- You’ll receive a confirmation once the cancellation is complete

Care providers are expected to manage their bookings professionally. Repeated last-minute cancellations may impact how families perceive reliability and affect future interest from families. To ensure a reliable experience, care providers should make every effort to honor their confirmed bookings.
- Reporting Emergency Cancellations or Safety Concerns
If a care provider must cancel due to an emergency, safety concern, or misconduct, they should immediately report the issue to Care On the Way’s support team. While Care On the Way does not intervene in booking agreements, we can assist in documenting concerns and providing guidance as needed.
- Care Provider Payout Policy
Care providers receive payment 24 hours after the booking ends, unless a negative review requires further review. The payout consists of the total booking amount minus applicable administrative and processing fees.

Care On the Way is a marketplace platform that facilitates connections between families and care providers. Care On the Way does not manage, schedule, or oversee bookings. Cancellations are handled directly between families and care providers. Care On the Way does not assume liability for any cancellations made by care providers.
