Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Care On the Way is a technology platform that expands opportunities, enhances accessibility, and empowers individuals with developmental disabilities by facilitating connections with independent care providers. Our platform supports greater independence and choice, helping families find the right care solutions while ensuring flexibility for care providers.

    • For Families: Create an account and explore the platform with a 14-day trial. After the trial, continued access requires a subscription plan.
    • For Care Providers: Create an account for free. Before they can connect with families, they must complete a background check through Sterling. Once verified, care providers can access full platform features and start finding opportunities.

Families and care providers communicate directly. Care providers set their own rates, and families decide if they are a good fit for their needs. Care On the Way does not schedule, employ, or manage care providers—we simply provide a platform for connections.

  • ✔ Access to independent care providers
✔ View provider profiles, experience, and availability
✔ Directly connect and arrange services

Families can explore profiles of independent care providers in their area through the Care On the Way mobile app during the 14-day free trial. You can review their experience, availability, and connect directly to discuss services.

All care providers must complete a background check through Sterling, a trusted screening provider. However, families are responsible for reviewing a provider’s qualifications and ensuring they are the right fit for their needs.

  • ✔ Set your own rates and availability
✔ Choose which families you work with
✔ Maintain control over your services

Care On the Way does not employ care providers—you operate as an independent professional and set your own rates. Families decide if a provider's rate is a good fit for them.

A well-completed profile with clear experience details can help attract more families. Families can message care providers directly through the platform to inquire about availability and services. Once a booking is confirmed, care providers receive payments securely through the platform.

  • After the trial, your account will switch to "Read-Only" mode, meaning:
❌ You won’t be able to message or book new services.
✅ You can still log in and view your profile.

Upgrading to a subscription plan restores full access.
