- How does Care On the Way work?
Parents can create an account and take advantage of a 14-day trial to evaluate our service.
Caregivers can create an account but will have to pass a background check to take advantage of the 14-day trial.
- What can I expect from Care On the Way as a parent?

All caregivers have had full background checks upon signup performed by Sterling, a respected and reputable employment background check agency. Feel free to browse talented professional caregivers in your area on the Care On the Way mobile app with our 14-day free trial. - What can I expect from Care On the Way as a caregiver?
The freedom to set your own hours and rates. Our goal is to provide caregivers with opportunities to work with excellent families in your selected area.
Background checks are required for all caregivers to ensure each caregiver is up to Care On the Way standards. - What will happen after the 14-day trial?
If the trial is over and you still haven’t selected a membership plan, the account will be put in ‘Read Only’ mode and the premium features will become inaccessible. However, you will be able to upgrade to one of the offered membership plans which will restore your previous access.
- What kind of membership plans are offered by Care On the Way?
For parents we offer:
- Monthly at $34.99
- Semi-annually at $16.66 per month (billed semi-yearly)
- Annual at $12.49 per month (billed yearly)
For caregivers we offer:
- Monthly at $19.99
- Semi-annually at $13.33 per month (billed semi-yearly)
- Annual at $9.99 per month (billed yearly)
- What type of payments are accepted by Care On the Way?
Care On the Way accepts all major credit or debit cards from Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
- Are all caregivers required to go through a background check?
YES! All caregivers will have to go through a vigorous background check performed by our trusted vendor at Sterling. Caregivers will have to pass the background check to take advantage of the 14-day trial.
- What is Care On the Way’s booking cancellation policy?
Parents:
We understand things come up, so once a booking request has been submitted, parents will be able to cancel up to 48 hours prior to the start of the booking with no penalties.- If cancelled within 48 hours, parents will be charged 50% of the net booking amount. However, gateway and administrative fees are non-refundable.
- If cancelled within 24 hours, parents will be charged 100% of the booking amount which includes administrative and gateway fees.
Caregivers:
Once a booking request has been accepted, caregivers are able to cancel up to 48 hours in advance with no penalties.- If cancelled within 48 hours, caregivers will be charged a $5 penalty, a 10% administrative fee on the penalty, and any gateway fees the parent incurred with their original booking.
- If cancelled within 24 hours, caregivers will be charged a $10 penalty, a 10% administrative fee on the penalty, and any gateway fees the parent incurred with their original booking.
Bookings cancelled within 48 hours will affect a caregiver’s reliability and reputation score which will be reflected in their profile.
If a booking has been submitted and accepted within 24 hours from the start of the booking and needs to be cancelled, send us a note and we will handle it in a manner that is satisfactory for both parties.
- How can you modify an existing booking?
Once a booking has been submitted, you can only make changes up to 48 hours prior to the start time.
*Within 48 hours of the start time, if you still decide to make changes, you’ll have to cancel the booking and submit a new one. Cancellation fees may apply.
- Can I cancel my Care On the Way service subscription?
You are free to cancel your subscription at any time. You will continue to have access to all the Care On the Way benefits until the end of your billing cycle.
- Can I add a tip for the caregiver using the app?
Yes, we encourage families to tip their caregivers!
- When is Care On the Way going to be available?
We are working as fast and as diligently as possible to be on our way to connecting families and caregivers alike.
